Edouard Philippe French Prime Minister, nominated by President Macron, gives important key note speech at EUROPLACE Financial Conference 11th July 2017

Brexit, la dynamique de la Place de Paris s’accélère
This tuesday 11th July 2017 on the occasion of the Rencontres Internationales de Paris EUROPLACE, the French Prime Minister, Edouard Philippe, gave a vigorous keynote speech underlining the various fiscal initiatives that the new French Government are putting in place to make Paris an even more attractive financial platform in the European Union block. The French feel that they can poach some of the City of London’s dominance.

Stuart Gulliver Director General HSBC Holding  participated at the conference, as did Jamie Dimon, President of J.P.Morgan Chase, and Frederic Oudea, Chairman of the Societe Generale.

2500 participants from over 50 countries attended the Forum.

Gerard Mestrallet heads up EUROPLACE which was created some years ago to promote Paris a strong Financial Centre.
