PANAMA IN LIVERPOOOL
The visit from the Panamanian Delegation to the city of Ports, Liverpool started off with great success.
The high ranking delegation led by Minister Roberto Roy of the Ministry for Canal Affairs was received by the authorities of the city of Liverpool, Liverpool City Region, Superports, Peel Ports and Liverpool John Moores University.
As a direct result of the visit, the Panama Canal Authority signed a MoU with Peel Ports who are developing the new port terminal for Post Panamax vessels. On that same note, the Dean for the Technological University of Panama signed an MoU with John Moores University.
On the second day, a Conference was held in which the Minister for the Panama Canal, Roberto Roy participated as a panellist alongside the President of Panama’s Chamber of Commerce and others.
The audience was composed from Representatives of Companies in Liverpool and from the North of the UK who showed great interest in Panama’s offer in sectors such as a Logistics, Maritime Industry and Infrastructure.
Panama’s Maritime University also signed an MoU with Liverpool’s John Moores University.
