This evening Christies King Street auctions a painting by Sir Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640), “Lot and his Daughters” £40.000.000 hammer. The evening was well attended with collectors and Museum Curators, including Dawson W. Carr, Currently The dynamic Curator of the Portland Art Museum. A respected figure on the Intl. Art World Market, having worked for the Getty Foundation. Dawson W Carr is well remembered for having been the Curator of Italian and French paintings at the National Gallery, in the UK.
